ABOUT US

The Academia-Industry Training (AIT) helps Swiss, Colombian, Brazilian, and Mexican startup talents innovate and develop their entrepreneurial and business skills. The main objectives are to transform high-level applied research into market applications and to assist participants in advancing business plans, establishing contacts with industry, clarifying intellectual property issues, networking at an international level, and fostering new partnerships/ collaborations across Switzerland and Latin America.

FROM SCIENTISTS TO ENTREPRENEURS

30 Swiss startups will be chosen in total: 10 will go to Brazil, 10 to Colombia, and 10 to Mexico. Each cohort will compete for an Innovation Grant of CHF 10,000 that will be award to the most promising research projects/startups to support market application and internationalisation efforts. The program is meant for Master or PhD students, PostDocs, and researchers from Swiss universities, Universities of Applied Science, and research institutes as well as centers of technological excellence with research track-record working on a non-profit basis.
